May 2, 2012 (newstodate): As governments change in Slovakia, so does the attitude towards ownership of the country's Bratislava Airport.
After the earlier government's decision to keep state ownership of the airport, the new government is again airing intentions of seeking a strategic partner to take a stake in the airport.
The current government, however, rules out visions of a full privatization, leaving open the issue of how large a stake an external partner may eventually take.
Earlier attempts to attract foreign investors through tenders resulted in bids from parties including Flughafen Wien AG, Penta Group AG, Raiffeisen Zentralbank AG; Abertis Infrastructure SA, TBI Plc, Slovakian J&T Finance Group; Independent Slovak Airport Partners, Flughafen Koeln-Bonn GmbH-SNC, Lavalin Group Inc, Airport Consulting Vienna GmbH; Tepe Akfen Ventures
