May 9, 2012 (newstodate): Billund Airport, in west Denmark, is seeing the imminent opening of new routes.
Effective from May 21, 2012, the Swedish carrier Skyways will launch flights on the route between Stockholm Arlanda and Billund Airport, offering three daily services using Embraer 145.
The carrier is already online with flights to Copenhagen Airport.
Already from this week, the Danish carrier and franchise-partner with British Airways, SUN-AIR is opening flights on routes from Billund to Oslo Gardermoen Airport and Stockholm Bromma Airport.
Like the Danish Cimber Sterling now in bankruptcy, Skyways was acquired in 2011 by the Cyprus-based asset management company Manswell Enterprises Limited.
