May 10, 2012 (newstodate): Russia's International Airport Irkutsk, near the Baikal Sea, saw passenger volumes up by 13 percent, y-o-y, during the first four months of 2012.
A total of 382,246 passengers passed through the airport during the period.
Cargo volumes grew less steeply - only two percent up to a total of 3,660 tonnes.
In April 2012 alone, the airport handled 1,035 tonnes of air cargo, down 25 percent, y-o-y, and 110 tonnes of mail.
