May 21, 2012 (newstodate): The Kazakh carrier Air Astana has launched flights on a new route connecting Astana and Baku, in Azerbaijan.
Starting from today, the carrier will offer two weekly rotations on the route, served with Embraer 190 aircraft.
Air Astana now has four Embraer 190 aircraft acquired on an operational lease agreement, and will add two more aircraft of this type, with the first to be delivered in July 2012.
Air Astana already operates three times weekly between Almaty and Baku.
