May 9, 2012 (newstodate): The privately-owned Icelandic carrier Eagle Air has taken delivery of a BAE Jetstream 31.
The aircraft, formerly owned by the UK company Spitfire Investments, will join the airline's fleet already comprising two Jetstream 31 and three Cessna aircraft.
Besides offering tourist flights, cargo and charter services from its base at Reykjavik Airport, Eagle Air also provides the country with ambulance and emergency services into the country's off-lying hamlets and islands.
