May 15, 2012 (newstodate): The new Polish carrier Bingo Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320 aircraft.
The aircraft earlier served with a Turkish carrier and is acquired on a leasing arrangement with Aviation Partners.
Bingo Airways plans to take delivery of two more Airbus A320 aircraft in June and will then launch operations from Warsaw and Katowice to destinations in Greece and Turkey during the summer season.
Among the owners of the new carrier is Luxembourg-based Travel Holding International, and the CEO and founder of Bingo Airways is Marek Sidor, formerly serving as Malev COO as well as holding earlier positions with EuroLOT and LOT.
