May 7, 2012 (newstodate): Cargo volumes continue to grow substantially at Estonia's Tallinn Airport in 2012.
A total of 1,954 tonnes of cargo was handled at Tallinn Airport in April 2012, an increase by 76.8 percent, y-o-y.
April thus was the fourth consecutive month in 2012 with strong cargo growth, after 54.8 in January, 96.4 percent in February, and 69.6 percent in March.
In April, air cargo was up 80.4 percent, y-o-y, to 1,840 tonnes, while mail volumes were up 35.3 percent to 115 tonnes.
Total volumes during January-April 2012 were thus 6,934 tonnes - an increase by 74.5 percent, y-o-y, driven by the 79 percent increase in airfreight volumes.
