May 23, 2012 (newstodate): The first test flights with e-cargo in Russia will lift off from Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo International Airport late May or early June, 2012.
Driving the process is the Russian cargo carrier AirBridgeCargo, member of the Volga-Dnepr Group that has a strong traffic at the airport.
Supporting the test runs and the implementation of the e-freight in Russia is the Innovation Center for Civil Aviation on behalf of Russia's ministry of transportation and other Russian state institutions including the customs authority.
Other Russian airports involved in the process to introduce and implement e-freight are Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport.
