May 30, 2012 (newstodate): Delta is back at Copenhagen Airport, albeit only on a seasonal basis.
Effective from June 2 till July 29, 2012, the carrier will be offering daily flights on the route between New York and Copenhagen, continuing with six weekly services till rounding off the summer season on September 4, 2012.
Using a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, the carrier is thus lifting four pallets, or 8-10 tonnes of cargo per flight depending on passenger loads.
In 2008, Delta Airlines Cargo appointed ProActive Airlines Services to provide cargo GSA services in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland after having been formerly served by AF/KLM Cargo in these markets.
Only in 2011 the carrier announced its decision, now reversed, to pull out from offering direct services to Scandinavia altogether.
