May 30, 2012 (newstodate): The pockets of Mr Kolomoyskyi, the strongman in Ukraine's aviation business, are deep - but maybe there are limits, though.
One of the companies controlled by Mr Kolomoyskyi through the Cyprus-based Mansvell Enterprise that on its side holds a controlling part of the Ukrainean bank PrivatBank Group, Aerosvit is reportedly unable to finance the acquisition of a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, now stored at the factory.
Earlier this month, Mansvell pulled the plug under the Danish carrier Cimber Sterling and the Swedish carrier Skyways in which he held a majority stake, leading to the bankruptcies of these two airline companies.
