Apr 25, 2012 (newstodate): The UK-based aircraft finance, procurement, re-marketing and fleet asset protection company Skytech-AIC is deeply engaged also in the Baltic aviation scene.
Thus Estonian Air has contracted Skytech-AIC with the re-marketing of its three Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft built in 2011 and to be replaced by Embraer aircraft by the end of this year.
Skytech-AIC has now also been entrusted with the acquisition of three Bombardier Q400 aircraft for the Latvian carrier airBaltic that already operates a fleet of eight similar aircraft.
airBaltic will aim at operating a fleet of only two aircraft types, against five currently in use, basing its future operations on the Q400 for short and regional routes and either Airbus A319 or Boeing 737-700, with the final choice between Airbus and Boeing to be made shortly.
