Apr 16, 2012 (newstodate): Three cargo brokers are blazing new trails in the industry by consolidating the companies into one business network, the Global Charter Alliance.
Behind the new network, presumably the world's first consortium of independent cargo brokers, are Pacific Airlift of Singapore, The Charter Store of the USA, and the recently-formed NEO Air Charter of Germany.
The consortium pledges to respect existing relationships between freight forwarders and their shipper clients, avoiding all competition to forwarders and working only directly with them.
GCA plans to expand its membership further, but will do so in a carefully-controlled manner with an emphasis on quality.
