Apr 30, 2012 (newstodate): The Swiss-based handling provider is reportedly to enter the market in Serbia.
According to press reports, the company plans to launch ground handling services at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport while no launch date has so far been announced, nor has the company officially confirmed this.
If Swissport eventually announces this new opening in Eastern Europe, it would be the second time for the company to look at Serbia.
In 2005 Swissport placed its bid for a concession to build a new cargo terminal at Belgrade Airport, Serbia - but lost.
Swissport has also long been rumored to be targeting Denmark's Copenhagen Airport for cargo handling services, but it remains unconfirmed if plans will materialize.
