Apr 11, 2012 (newstodate): Russia's Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport is booming with airfreight in 2012.
The airport saw its cargo volumes up by 37 percent, y-o-y, in March 2012, to a total of 2,287 tonnes, primarily driven by increasing international cargo as well as mail volumes.
During Q1, 2012, the airport handled a total of 5,803 tonnes, close to 40 percent more than in Q1, 2011.
Airlines operating freighters to, from and via Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport on routes connecting Europe and the Far East include Aeroflot, AirBridgeCargo, Air Cargo Germany, Air China Cargo, Cargolux, and Polet Airlines.
