Apr 18, 2012 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Transaero continues to grow its air cargo volumes in 2012.
In March 2012 the privately-owned carrier, Russia's second-largest, increased its cargo volumes by 19.2 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 4,707 tonnes.
Transaero thus carried a total of 11,386 tonnes of cargo during the first three months of this year, an increase by no less than 23.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2011.
In the airline's fleet are 76 aircraft, including 19 Boeing 747, 12 Boeing 777, 13 Boeing 767, 29 Boeing 737 and three TU-214, and orders have been placed for delivery of a further 30 aircraft.
