Apr 24, 2012 (newstodate): Statistics on air cargo at Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport remain positive in 2012.
In March 2012, the airport handled a total of 9,822 tonnes of cargo and mail, an increase by 11.7 percent, y-o-y, according to the airporet's statistics.
International cargo volumes were 6,686 tonnes, an increase by 9.9 percent, y-o-y, while domestic cargo increased by 15.8 percent to a total of 3,136 tonnes in March 2012.
Also for March 2012, IATA reports an increase in the Norwegian market by 14 percent in export volumes, to a total of 8,662 tonnes of cargo and mail.
According to the airport's statistics, cargo volumes in Q1 2012 were up 15.4 percent, y-o-y, to 26,823 tonnes including 18,629 tonnes of international cargo, up 18.6 percent, and 8,194 tonnes of domestic cargo, increasing 8.7 percent, y-o-y.
In 2011, air cargo volumes at Oslo Gardermoen Airport increased by 15.1 percent, y-o-y, to 97,801 tonnes.
