Apr 27, 2012 (newstodate): Another airline bites the dust in 2012 - this time in Poland.
The Polish charter carrier Air Poland, founded in 2007 and based at Warsaw, Poland, has announced its retreat from services, claiming lack of sustained support from its majority shareholder Swiss Capital Holding.
The carrier that has now filed for bankruptcy has operated a fleet of one Boeing 767-200 and one Boeing 737-800 aircraft and was in the process of adding one Boeing 767-300ER aircraft as the financial background was lost.
