Apr 20, 2012 (newstodate): The plights of the Latvian carrier airBaltic may still not be over or fully uncovered.
According to Russian press reports, Russia's Investment Bank has filed claims against airBaltic and Baltic Aviation systems at a Moscow court, seeking repayment of three loans totaling 17.4 mio euro.
airBaltic has reportedly repudiated any knowledge of these obligations that may then have been contracted by the earlier management, headed by Bertolt Flick as CEO, who was replaced by the new CEO, Martin Gauss, from November 1, 2011.
