Apr 10, 2012 (newstodate): Icelandair is planning to add two more aircraft to its fleet over the coming few months.
The carrier is in talks with an aircraft leasing company for a 20-month lease of one Boeing 757-200 aircraft, while another similar aircraft will be purchased outright.
After modification to fit into Icelandair's fleet, both aircraft will enter commercial service from May 2012, bringing the fleet of Boeing 757-200 passenger aircraft to 16.
Another company in the Icelandair Group, Icelandair Cargo operates a fleet of five Boeing 757-200F aircraft.
