Apr 25, 2012 (newstodate): March 2012 proved another month of declining IATA export cargo volumes in the Nordic region.
As before, Sweden was hit the worst, with volumes down 22.1 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 8,406 tonnes.
Also as in previous months, Norway proved to be the only Nordic market with positive growth, in March 2012 plus 14 percent, y-o-y, to 8,662 tonnes and thus overtaking Sweden that used to be leading the Nordic cargo scenes in volumes.
The Danish market dropped 8.5 percent, y-o-y, to 6,220 tonnes, while the Finnish IATA export cargo market was down 6.9 percent, y-o-y, to 3,565 tonnes in March 2012.
