Apr 27, 2012 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo is to shift its handling in the Swedish market to Cargo Center Sweden from June 2012.
-Effective from June 1, Lufthansa Cargo will move from its current handling partner Spirit Air Cargo Handling to Cargo Center Sweden at Malmo Sturup Airport, followed by a similar change at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport from June 15, 2012, says Alexander Kohnen, Lufthansa Cargo Director for the Nordic and Baltic countries, based in Stockholm, Sweden.
-At Stockholm Arlanda Airport we are already served by Cargo Center Sweden as our handling provider.
-Working with Cargo Center Center Sweden, we will benefit from access to this provider's strong presence in the South Swedish market which will open new business opportunities for us, Cargo Center Sweden's efficient trucking set-up as well as its sophisticated IT systems that will integrate seamlessly with ours.
-At the same time, let me thank Spirit Air Cargo Handling for many years of good cooperation at Malmo and Gothenburg. This has been a big step for us to take, but we are of course always monitoring the market for optimal solutions to our requirements, says Mr Kohnen.
