Apr 20, 2012 (newstodate): Poland's new airport at Modlin will be officially opened on July 16, 2012 - and Ryanair is first to announce its presence.
The low-cost carrier will launch flights on ten routes from Warsaw Modlin Airport to Bristol, Brussels, Budapest, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Milan, Oslo, Rome and Stockholm soon after the opening of the new airport that will relieve the pressure on Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Hungary's low-cost carrier WIZZ Air has also announced its decision to move its operations to Modlin, basing four Airbus A320 aircraft at the airport to provide flights to 19 destinations in Europe.
