Apr 18, 2012 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ground handling company Baltic Ground Services has landed a fresh order with a new Russian client at the country's Vilnius Airport.
Effective from now, BGS will provide handling of Aeroflot's daily flights between Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Vilnius Airport using Superjet 100 aircraft.
BGS will provide its new customer with a package including integrated passenger and aircraft ramp handling services.
This latest new contract with Aeroflot comes shortly after a similar contract by BGS with the Russian carrier Transaero that launched four weekly flights with Boeing 737-500 between Moscow Domodedovo and Vilnius from December 1, 2011, and with Ak Bars that entered the airport with a first flight on March 26, 2012, offering twice-weekly rotations on the route between St Petersburg and Vilnius with CRJ 200LR aircraft.
