Apr 12, 2012 (newstodate): With effect from April 2, 2012, Air Maintenance Estonia AS has placed a new man at the helmet.
New in the office as AME managing director & CEO is David Williams, succeeding Lars-Olof Bolinder who will continue in AME as a Supervisory Board member.
David Williams comes from managerial positions in SAS Technical Services, Emirates, and Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies.
AME is amidst a large construction project, from August 2012 operating a new three-bay hangar for Base Maintenance works of narrow-body aircraft, bringing the total facility at Tallinn Airport to three main Base Maintenance lines, and two additional lines for lighter checks and modification works.
AME defines its potential geographical market as being within some two hours ferry flight time from the site at Tallinn Airport.
This adds Northern Europe, U.K, as well as a great part of Central Europe and Western Russia to its immediate catchment area comprising the Baltic and Nordic markets.
