Apr 25, 2012 (newstodate): Air China is adjusting its international service network, including flights to Scandinavia.
Effective from June 1, 2012, the carrier will again replace its Airbus A330-200 with Boeing 777-200 on the route between Beijing and Stockholm in Sweden, and from June 11, 2012, frequency will be increased from currently five times per week to daily services.
As already reported, Air China has cancelled its earlier plans for opening services between Beijing and Copenhagen in Denmark.
Air China Cargo is online at Copenhagen Airport with currently two weekly rotations, down from four as earlier operated.
In March 2012, Air China aggregated a total of 361 tonnes of export cargo in the Swedish market, down 38.6 percent, y-o-y, while lifting 247 tonnes out of Denmark, also down 43 percent, y-o-y.
The carrier was thus ranked #10 in Sweden and #9 in the Danish market in March 2012.
