Apr 26, 2012 (newstodate): Avies has won a tender in Estonia for flights on the domestic route connecting Tallinn to Kuressaare, on the island of Saaremaa.
Starting from May 16, 2012, the carrier will serve the route on a daily basis, offering nine weekly rotations with a Jetstream aircraft.
The new contract will run for a five-year period.
The route has till now been served by Estonian Air, using SAAB340 aircraft.
Avies also provides domestic flights between Tallinn Airport and Kardla, on the Baltic Sea island of Hiiuuma on a four-year contract expiring in 2014.
The Estonian carrier is also providing domestic flights in Sweden and Norway.
