Apr 23, 2012 (newstodate): Executives from four Balkan airlines will reportedly meet on May 19, 2012, to discuss a merger into one Balkan carrier.
The proposal has been pushed by AEA, and Montenegro Airlines has now taken the initiative to call top executives from Croatia Airlines, Jat Airways and Adria Airways to meet for a joint discussion on the issue.
In the plans is the formation of a joint Open Skies Agreement between the three countries Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia allowing for unrestricted commercial airline operations across national borders.
Also to be discussed a issues including the formation of an aircraft pool, joint training and staff exchange as well as joint marketing and representation.
