Mar 21, 2012 (newstodate): Estonian Air has now taken delivery of the third CRJ900 aircraft.
The first Estonian Air CRJ900 was introduced in commercial service on January 27, 2011, on the rout between Tallinn and Stockholm, Sweden, and the second was introduced on February 2, 2012, while the fourth and last of this batch is to follow suit within only few weeks.
The CRJ900 aircraft will primarily serve Estonian Air's short and high-demand business routes, like Stockholm, Moscow and Brussels alongside with Estonian Air's Boeing 737-300 and 737-500 aircraft.
All four aircraft are placed with Estonian Air under a leasing contract with Finnair.
Estonian Air and Embraer have signed a contract for the purchase of three E175s and one E190.
Pending government approval, Estonian Air will also take eight additional aircraft, four E170s and four E190s, under a combination of lease agreements with third parties and leasing companies.
