Mar 06, 2012 (newstodate): Ukraine's Kiev Borispol Airport is seeing a strong start to the year in air cargo.
In January and February 2012, a total of 4,664 tonnes of air cargo plus 850 tonnes of mail has been handled at the airport, totaling an increase by 11 and five percent, y-o-y, respectively.
On the passenger side, the airport has also come off to a strong start, with the number of passengers rising by 13 percent, y-o-y.
Last year the airport passed the eight million passengers-mark for the first time in its history.
