Mar 02, 2012 (newstodate): Russia's Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport is to be developed with a new cargo aircraft apron.
The project now to be launched includes construction of cargo aircraft parking stands for up to four freighters the size of Boeing 747-8F, with the first phase of the project, to be completed in 2012, comprising cargo stands for two freighters complete with the pertinent infrastructure, with the next two parking stands to be added in 2013.
The airport first launched business with cargo airlines in 2011, with Air Cargo Germany, ULS Airlines Cargo and Cargolux among its first airline customers.
In 2012 the airport expects to add new cargo airline customers including ACT Airlines, Martinair, Yangtze River Express, Polet Airlines, Aeroflot and Volga-Dnepr.
