Mar 26, 2012 (newstodate): Aeroflot has returned services between Russia and Lithuania.
Effective from March 25, 2012, the carrier is offering daily rotations on the route between Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Vilnius Airport, using Superjet 100 aircraft.
With this new service, Vilnius Airport is connected to all three Moscow airports, with UTair operating two daily flights to Vnukovo Airport, Transaero Airlines offering four weekly flights to Domodedovo Airport, and now Aeroflot flying into Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
Aeroflot last served the route to Vilnius till 2004 when it retreated due to lack of aircraft compliant with EU noise requirements.
