Mar 13, 2012 (newstodate): The Romanian carrier Carpatair has added a Boeing 737-300 aircraft to its fleet.
The aircraft is to be operated on a dry-lease contract with Romanian flight deck crews, and is slated for entry into commercial service from March 25, 2012.
The aircraft, Carpatair's only Boeing 737 so far, will be based at Chisinau, in Moldova, to operate flights to four destinations in Italy, including 2 weekly to Bologna with two weekly rotations, and to Milan Bergamo, Rome and Venice with two weekly rotations each.
In the fleet of Carpatair are also seven SAAB 2000, and three Fokker 70, as well as three Fokker 100 aircraft that were earlier put up for sale.
