Mar 29, 2012 (newstodate): Park Air Systems, Northrop Grumman Corporation's Europe-based air traffic management subsidiary with its HQ in Oslo, Norway, has been awarded a NATO contract in Afghanistan.
Park Air will deliver a second air traffic control receiver site for Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan, maintained by NATO since 2006 and is a key logistics hub used by NATO forces in Afghanistan.
The receiver site houses 16 VHF/UHF radios for the air base, and due to the urgent NATO operational requirement, the radios have been supplied and installed in a matter of weeks and are now fully operational.
