Mar 07, 2012 (newstodate): Emergency Solutions is a new product from Lufthansa Cargo, currently being tested in three markets - Norway, Baku in Azerbaijan, and all Lufthansa stations in Germany.
-Emergency Cargo is a truly express cargo product with 100 percent guarantee of uplift on first departing flight, says Christoph Harneid, Lufthansa Cargo Country Manager Norway.
-Emergency Cargo shipments will overtake all other Lufthansa Cargo products that may be lifted off to make room for its immediate transportation, covered by a 100 percent performance guarantee. And Emergency Cargo shipments may be transferred from tail to tail within as little as 30 minutes,
-The products obviously aims at markets with uncompromising needs for fast access to air transportation, such as oil drilling companies, ships spares, AOG and others where production losses will easily exceed any extra remedial costs.
-Emergency Cargo shipments will in principle not be restricted in weight or dimensions expect for concrete aircraft capabilities, and experience from almost one year of testing in the three markets have proved the product's viability, says Mr Harneid.
When officially launched later this year, the new product will be branded along the normal Lufthansa Cargo lines.
