Mar 27, 2012 (newstodate): Havas Europe has added the fourth airport to its portfolio: Munich International Airport, in Germany.
So far focused on the Nordic/Baltic region, Havas Europe has thus expanded further into Europe, launching business from March 26, 2012, with the Italian carrier Air One as its first customer operating two daily Airbus A320 flights from the airport.
Havas Europe now provides Air One with flight operations including Load Control, and full passenger services, including ticketing.
Havas Europe will see more openings in the German market in 2012, considering Munich Airport as the first step in its strategy of becoming a leading ground handling provider in Europe.
Havas Europe is now also providing handling services at Latvia's Riga Airport, Finland's Helsinki Vantaa Airport, and Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
In April 2010, the Turkish ground handling company Havas bought 50 percent of the shares in North Hub Services, established in 2009 by Baltijas Aviacijas Sistemas.
North Hub Services consequently changed its name to Havas Europe from December 15, 2011.
