Mar 22, 2012 (newstodate): The new strategy of airBaltic, named ReShape, has its focus on returning the airline to profitability and secure a sustainable future development at North Hub Riga, linking the Baltic region with destinations in Europe, Middle East and Russia/CIS.
Above all, the airBaltic ReShape strategy aims at improvements of LVL 330 million in the next five years, and returning to profitability in 2014.
But the hub strategy will remain unchanged, as confirmed by the carrier's CEO Martin Gauss speaking to the the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia on March 21, 2012.
According to press reports from the briefing, airBaltic will maintain its current route network comprising some 60 destinations served through its hub at Riga Airport, with more travel options achieved through partnerships with other airlines, including Air France.
