Mar 05, 2012 (newstodate): Established in 2009, the Latvian freight forwarding company and service provider Axia Logistics has come off to a good start.
-Being still in the build-up phase, you would of course expect to see growth figures year by year, and this is indeed also the case with Axia Logistics, says Dzintars Zveja, owner and CEO of the company.
-We provide freight forwarding services for all modes of transportation. But airfreight is our key focus, and all five staff at our company are trained to handling of sea, road and air logistics and forwarding.
-We are facing stiff competition in the market, but our special asset may be the individual approach to customers coupled with year-long experience from earlier work positions, and we are indeed adept in designing customized solutions to customer needs.
-Axia Logistics is fully independent, not member of any group but drawing instead on several global networks allowing us to move into almost any market as required by our customers. And we intend to keep it this way as response from our market tells us that this is valued by customers that need more than standardized off-the-self solutions.
-Our base is near Riga Airport, in Latvia, but if 2012 develops as expected we plan to open up new offices in Estonia and Lithuania to establish ourselves firmly on a Baltic basis before considering further moves, says Mr Zveja.
