Mar 19, 2012 (newstodate): The Danish ACMI and charter carrier Jet Time is still poised to take in Cimber Sterling's fleet of four leased Boeing 737-700 aircraft - but the plans have been adjusted.
Jet Time was to take in the aircraft from this summer schedule and fly them on Cimber Sterling's summer program by taking over also their crews and operate the fleet on a wet-lease contract with Cimber Sterling.
Eventually, this plan has now been abandoned.
-We had high hopes for managing the closing of the agreements as a full package including aircraft, crews, maintenance and operations. This proved, however, to be too complex to round off, so instead we are now negotiating to continue with plans for aircraft maintenance of the fleet and other elements, says Klaus Ren, Jet Time CEO.
-As Cimber Sterling is keen to divest of their Boeing 737 fleet, and we remain keen to take in the aircraft, it remains a sound arrangement, and we will continue to work on a final solution after this summer schedule, says Mr Ren.
Jet Time already operates a fleet of five Boeing 737-300 in passenger version, two Boeing 737-300QC, and three Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
