Mar 26, 2012 (newstodate): With effect from the start of this summer schedule, the Finnish regional carrier Blue1, member of the SAS Group, has moved its hub from Helsinki, in Finland, to Copenhagen, Denmark.
This means that all flights by Blue1 will depart from, or depart for Copenhagen Airport, tuned to match the flight program of the mother carrier SAS.
The move is driven by efforts to soak Finnish passengers away from the country's national carrier Finnair that has been very successful in strengthening its position in the market for air transport between Europe and Asia.
