Mar 02, 2012 (newstodate): February was a month with only modest changes in cargo volumes at Denmark's Billund Airport, compared to last year.
The Chinese New Year left its mark on the cargo statistics that showed the handling of a total of 4,648 tonnes of cargo - only 1.6 percent up on last year.
Cargo imports continued to fall, down 1.4 percent, y-o-y, to 2,047 tonnes, while cargo exports rose 4.1 percent to 2,601 tonnes in February.
In the first two months of 2012 the airport has thus seen its total cargo volumes up by 4.3 percent, y-o-y, to 9,722 tonnes including 4,625 tonnes of imports, down 0.1 percent, and 5,097 tonnes of exports that increased by 8.7 percent, y-o-y.
