Feb 10, 2012 (newstodate): Effective from May 27, 2012, Vilnius will get another new direct air connection to Norway.
The Hungarian low-cost carrier WIZZ Air plans to offer two weekly rotations between Vilnius, in Lithuania, and Stavanger, in Norway.
Starting from April 17, 2010, WIZZ Air has based one A320 aircraft at Vilnius Airport and is now offering 20 weekly rotations between Vilnius and Cork, London, Doncaster-Sheffield, Eindhoven, Barcelona, Rome, Milan and Stockholm, with plans to increase frequencies on flights to London and Eindhoven also from May 2012.
From May 2012, the carrier will base a second Airbus A320 aircraft at Vilnius Airport to facilitate the opening of other new routes to Bergen, Oslo, Paris, and Liverpool.
