Feb 13, 2012 (newstodate): West Atlantic Airlines has signed a three-year support contract with BAE Systems covering a total of 44 ATP regional turboprop aircraft.
Under the contract, BAE Systems will provide the carrier with technical support services and a new and more comprehensive rate-per-flying-hour spares support program.
The contract will also comprise a three-year exclusive continuing airworthiness support service, including the provision of technical publications covering the ATP fleet.
With its HQ at Gothenburg, Sweden, West Atlantic was established in 2008 through the merger of West Air Europe of Sweden and Atlantic Airlines of the UK.
