Feb 03, 2012 (newstodate): The bankruptcy of the Spanish carrier Spanair has left the Slovenian company Adria Airways Tehnika in dire straits.
The maintenance provider's second-largest customer, Spanair in 2010 signed a five-year contract with Adria Airways Tehnika comprising maintenance of Spanair's fleet of 24 Airbus A320 Family aircraft - the company's biggest-ever contract.
Two Spanair Airbus A320 aircraft are currently in Slovenia for maintenance, and Adria Airways Tehnika is now to seek payment for the services rendered from the lessor, IFLC.
Adria Airways that divested of the maintenance company in 2011 also owes payments to Adria Airways Tehnika, adding further to the company's plights.
