Feb 15, 2012 (newstodate): The Polish carrier OLT Express Airlines has announced an ambitious plan for new domestic flights in Poland.
Based at Gdansk, the carrier will seven new routes from Gdansk, six from Poznan, five from Wroclaw, four from Warsaw, three from Cracow, Poznan and Szczecin, two from Lodz and one from Rzeszow.
The start of these new operations will be on April 8, 2012, and the carrier will ultimately aim at a fleet of 12 aircraft.
OLT is currently operating two ATR-42 aircraft and is due to take delivery of five new ATR-72 aircraft later this spring.
Late 2011, its owner the Polish company Amber also acquired Yes Airways that brings in Airbus A320 Family aircraft that will be merged with the OLT fleet that is planned to grow to a total of 12 aircraft.
