Feb 15, 2012 (newstodate): More flights will be offered connecting the neighboring Central Asian states of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
New to come are flights by the Kazakh carrier Air Astana between Astana in Kazakhstan and Tashkent in Uzbekistan.
From this summer, Air Astana will operate two weekly Embraer E-190 rotations on the route, in addition to its current four weekly, woon to be expanded to five weekly Embraer E-190/Airbus A320 rotations on the route connecting Almaty in Kazakhstan and Tashkent.
Plying the air between Almaty and Tashkent are also Uzbekistan Airways with five weekly rotations and the Kazakh carrier Scat with one weekly operation.
