Feb 17, 2012 (newstodate): Confusion is reigning in Hungary's airfreight business.
-Today is the last day of operations at Malev air cargo, and we are thus handling our last consignment by the carrier, says one Hungarian freight forwarder, who prefers to remain anonymous.
-Malev Cargo's staff have informed us that they really do not know what will happen from Monday, so we are also completely in the dark, she says.
Malev was grounded on February 3, 2012, leaving a void in air transport services at Budapest Airport, only partly filled by low-cost operators as to passenger traffic while airfreight capacity has gone down.
