Feb 24, 2012 (newstodate): Lufthansa Consulting has been contracted by the Russian aircraft manufacturer IRKUT Corporation to support the marketing of the coming new commercial aircraft, the MC-21.
Under the contract, Lufthansa Consulting will work with IRKUT in promoting the MC-21 passenger aircraft globally by improvement of marketing and sales processes for MC-21, development of promotion instruments, and support in creation of an after-sales service system.
So far, IRKUT has landed contracts for delivery of 206 aircraft as well as options for a further 74 aircraft.
Customers include Aeroflot and the Malaysian company Crecom Burj Resources of Malaysia with each taking 50 aircraft, the first of which will be delivered in 2016, as well as several Russian leasing companies.
The MC-21 comes in three versions from short to medium range and capacity to seat from 150 to 250 passengers.
