Feb 21, 2012 (newstodate): Former CEO and President of the Latvian carrier, Bertolt Flick has emerged in a new aviation CEO position.
Mr Flick has been appointed CEO at the German carrier XL Airways, succeeding Martin Greiffenhagen in the seat.
Until October 2011, Mr Flick served as airBaltic CEO but was forced to step down after a prolonged struggle with leading Latvian politicians over a wide range of issues crucial to the development and financial situation of the carrier.
Based at Frankfurt Main Airport, XL Aviation operates a fleet of five Boeing 737-800 aircraft engaged in the charter and ACMI business.
