Feb 08, 2012 (newstodate): The Finnish company Copterline operating between Helsinki and Tallinn, in Estonia, is seeing brisk demands for services in its markets.
The carrier is now offering 10 daily rotations on the route during weekdays and up to 16 during the weekend with its single AugustaWestland AW139 helicopter.
Operations were launched on September 14, 2011, with five rotations on the route on weekdays.
-The helicopter has worked without any snags in schedules, proving that our maintenance program is working perfectly, and we do have plans for adding a second helicopter in due time, says Kari Ljungberg, Copterline CEO.
Copterline is also working on plans to start services between Helsinki and St Petersburg, iN Russia.
-We have started negotiations with the relevant authorities, but is requires much preparation and there a many issues to be solved. We are therefore not expecting to add this new services in 2012, says Mr Ljungberg.
