Feb 03, 2012 (newstodate): Finnair's fleet of Embraer 170 aircraft is busy - but not with the carrier itself.
Finnair is amidst a process to optimize its network and is therefore taking steps to streamline its aircraft fleet as well.
After the announcement of the sub-lease of four Embraer 170 aircraft to Estonian Air from this year's first quarter till 2015, only one Embraer 170 now remains with Finnair and this aircraft is expected soon to go to Flybe Nordic that already operates two Finnair Embraer 170 aircraft.
From June 2010, Finnair has already placed two Embraer 170 with Kenya Airways on a four-year lease contract, and one was sold to the Austrian carrier People's Viennaline in January 2011.
Finnair has also decided to discontinue the lease agreements for four Airbus A320 Series aircraft
